You know how the eclipse on fast and furious has that scoop on the roof. Well how would I do that on a grand am? I mean wouldn't air and dirt get stuck up there because of the hole which is cut in the scoop? Or how would I do it so it would be ok up there. Please help me out because I know a shop who is going to do that for me if I tell them how it all works.

Oh, and were could I find these scoops, and mabye some kind of scoop for the hood. Any websites?

You could just bondo a black piece of plastic or somethin in there like some of the hoods nowadays...

Though I would advise against it for aesthetic and safety reasons your best bet would be to buy a single Lund hood scoop and mold it to your roofline. Make sure to keep it closed- you don't really want air getting in there and yanking it off. Not to mention molding anything to a METAL roof is going to be a PITA but hey it's your car.

Try searching on Yahoo for hood scoop. That should do the trick.

ive actually been thinking of the exact same thing, but haven't made up my mind. What if u just make the scoop go across the roof to the other side and have it open on both sides. It wouldn't do anything, but wouldn't it be better than just a fake scoop on there.

just a suggestion, but im sure whoever that is going to be doing it won't be for aerodynamics. more apperance, but yeah lots of drag.

I have also debated on getting one. I think they look extremely nice, but were not rally cars so they dont serve to much of a function. But hten again who cares. LOL YOu can go to any motorsports shop or body shop and they should have them. Probably run you about $100-150 for it. Plus paint and molding.

Anyone got pictures? Cause quite frankly I think it'd be ghey and look like ass.

Oh wait, are they those things that look like a Snork? Sort of like what the GTS viper has on it's roof?

yes, the new vipers have them. Most rally car's have them. Im trying to find one or ge tone made that has sort of a dual inlet look to match the hood and nostrils of the GA.

Personally I wouldn't do it, but Team_***, I wouldn't get the two "nostril" things just for the fact I think it would be overdoing it. If I had a RA hood I'd do a single if anything. But to each their own, hope it turns out okay for ya.

Yup understandable... Don't they make universal ones?

I believe they are all universal. Just a matter of molding them to your roof. It gets pricey for that little mod though, cause that alot of molding to get it to sit flush with your hood and look smooth, and not like someone just plastered a fiberglass scoop on the roof.
