Here's my favorite mod so far to the 2.4L...

2.3HO intake manifold with an FDP 62mm throttle body...


You thought you didn't have any top end? Fear not this nifty modification makes you a happy camper once again.

Losing to those Civics at the end of the track? Nothing a lil old school and big bore throttle bodies can cure. ;)

AWWWWW man.. I only got the intake from him.. now I want the tb. But I think I am going to hold out for the 65mm. APOC does a good job on the modification on the intake don't they? Mine dropped right on without any modding at all. I fell in love with it. Now he just needs to offer it in powerdercoated or polished. I am going to polish mine in awhile but I hate to tear it all back off.

will my stock 2.4 TB bolt onto a 2.3 HO intake? I think I have one around somewhere.

Yup, two holes need to be drilled out a bit to accept 8mm bolts though apparently.

if you get the manifold from me and send me your tb I'll drill it for you, get you the bolts and install it on the manifold.

hey guys i have a 2.4L and im thinkin about doing something for some more power, im thinking of a new throttle body and upper intake manifold, is there anything else ill need to make these work and install directly with no other mods???

well first you need to know that a 2.4 doesnt have a upper intake manifold cuz it just has one. so there is only an intake manifold. the 3x00 are the ones with the uim and lim. and to answer your question, no you shouldnt need anything else installed when doing these mods.

edit: for the tb, make sure you get one with the egr stuff, or you will have do modify. in other words, get a tb for pre-2000 2.4's.

there is no upper intake for the 2.4L ... it's just the intake manifold... good luck finding a new throttle body these days as FDP takes forever! Great product it's just that when J-body guys have been waiting a year, the wait all of a sudden just isn't worth it.

RC Engineering can open up your stock throttle body considerably, call them for price.
RSM Racing opens up the stock units too, and requires you to send them your stock one in return plus a couple hundred bucks.

The 2.3HO intake manifold is really only for someone looking for hardcore gains and willing to do a lil bit of welding and grinding to make the ports match up perfectly. If you aren't to keen on doing that wait until Induction-dynamics debuts their intake manifold, or go to VENOM and buy their pricey yet pretty intake manifold.
