Wheel Cleaning

As I've never had chrome wheels before my GT1, what are suggestions for wheel cleaning products to use to get these unsightly "stains" off my wheels? A newbie thanks you for your help =)

I really like and use the Mequire's Hot Rims. It can be found at your local autoparts store ;)

Unless there is an ungodly stain on your wheel, there isn't really a need to constantly use cleaners (That's the good thing about chrome wheels! :) ). For everyday purposes, a bucket of soap and water, a wheel brush to clean out the inside, and a good microfiber towel should do you just fine. But I usually clean them with some type of cleaner once every month or so, just to make sure brake dust isn't building up on them. :thumbs:

stock chromes? believe it or not...I use just water and an old shirt. sounds dumb....but it gets rid of ALL road grime, and I only get a few water spots(if I don't dry them quick enough). and they get right back to being shiny as heck. just my two cents...

Chrome shouldn't be to hard to clean at all. But, windex is not recommended on chrome because it contains amonia - more than likely it wont really hurt it but I work with chrome all day and windex voids warrantys.

I use some orange stuff ... not the "Orange" brand (can't recall what it was).. works great since the EBC pads throw the dust... Spray it on.. hose it off.

To get the rest of the stuff, I use Amor All Auto Glass Cleaner - no ammonia.

I just wash them with the regular car wash I use on the car and use the same wax I use on my car. I dont have much need for any cleaners. Also, my torqued chrome-techs ('02 GT) are just covers anyway, not actual chrome wheels so I'm afraid to use any type of harsh chrome polish.

I use Mother Chrome polish on my rims, my roomate works at a Detailing shop and they acidize all the wheels there, works great but i dont have access to that crap and dont feel like goin down there to have it done lol. Ill just use a little more elbow grease and use the Mothers Chrome Polish
