I'm gonna be doing an electrical upgrade for my 2001, i'm replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, ground wires and any other electrical wires i can get a hold of and switch out.
I'm going with the denso iridium plugs, hyper ground - grounding wires from sun overseas trading. As long as that's all possible to use. It's kinda hard finding a spark plug wire, they all seem too car specific and the few that have grand am (let alone 2001) dont have any actual numbers to back up some stuff.
I want to set up the most efficient system for under 400 or so bucks.

What exactly are you intending to do? I haven't had the need to do much of anything. I did wires only because the stockers seemed to have some trouble.

umm, yeah. I got the NGK plugs and Taylor wires off of PFYC. I only got the wires because I tore a spark plug boot and it was misfiring. Do you have a specific goal in mind with changing everything?

i agree with them, you will barely notice a performance gain and will hardly see a fuel economy gain either

Has anyone done any comparisons with the stock wires vs, the "high performance" aftermarket ones on a V6 grand am? I've seen dyno readings from 3 different cars where changing the ground wires made anywhere from no gain to 15hp depending on the rpm. Always a gain though. That's nearly on par with exhaust system upgrades on non economy cars and intake upgrades. And that was only with changing the ground wires. How innefficient the stock 2001 wires, I dont know. And i never said it was strictly performance increasing motivated, it's more of an efficiency upgrade.
There are few performance related upgrades available for the car. Not enough room for a turbo without welding pieces (not that i wont weld if i need to but i'd rather not on this car) . I already have ram air so the intake is taken car of. I dont think the exhaust is really restricted because acceleration doesn't feel like it's being choked by anything but the ecu. So what else is there? I would like to have the speed regulator off but i dont want an ecu or override chip that makes the car always in race performance mode that sucks gas. Anything else i can think of is really just for looks more than function.
