How hard it is to maintain the shine of polsihed aluminum? I'm thinking about getting either the Eagle Alloy 77's or the 192's. I've heard the polished aluminum wheels can be a pain but I've never had any experience with them.

I use Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish (I have the same wheels) it works good, just need a little elbow grease.

Yeah, polished aluminum are more work to keep shiny, but if you scratch 'em up they can be fixed, unlike chrome. I use a couple different products. For the simple everyday shine, I use Mothers Chrome polish. If they're really gunged up, I use Wensol. That stuff rocks!

I've got the 192s on my cars....Check my sig for pics.

Both wheels look really nice. Slim25, how offen do you have to use the mother's to maintain the shine? Once a month, once a week?

Good thing about machiend silver... I just have to spray them off with a hose, but to shine them up, I just use soap and water... Wouldn't that work just as good?

Yeah, silver rims are a lot easier to keep clean, but they don't look as good as polished aluminum IMHO. ;)

No, the stock wheels (Chrometecs) are chrome plated plastic covers. The others stockers are silver painted aluminum alloys. Polish aluminum is different. Check out my car domain or Molson's. We have polished aluminum Eagles.
