Extended Warranties Rock!!!

Well, I had my turn signal/wiper switch replaced along with my Cruise control switch and drivers side window switches...

Grand total - $450

Cost of Extended warranty - $1525

Warranty work needed to break even - $1075

Hey... that turn signal/wiper switch... was your car making that annoying ticking sound... like your signals were going wacko? I've heard that is also another problem...

if you have the ticking-its either the signal/wiper or the hazard relay... just curious if you had this problem?

That'd be my problem, and it wasn't the hazard relay... twas the signal/wiper switch.

do you by chance know how they took that apart?

Very simple. Just pop off the top piece over the steering column, take the screw out of the switch, and pull out.

There are three plugs that plug into it. Just unplug them, plug the new unit in, line it up, and screw it in.

Very simple :)

$450 bucks to fix that? Dear Lord! A broken window regulator and a gasket leak and you will be good to go.

How did you get your extended warranty? Did you just go into the dealership where you bought the car? Is there any strategies that I should no about to haggle a better deal for my warranty?

My 2002 had this same problem. Can you believe that? Like I said before and Panacea said, it turned out to be the turn signal/wiper switch column.
