Hey guys, new to the forum. Looks like lots of good info to be found here!
I was just wondering where everyone likes to run their power wire through the firewall? I have a 2002 SE1 I will be putting a semi-large system in. Will be using 4ga power wire.
I was hoping for an existing grommet to use, or at least an easy place to drill for a new grommet.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Drivers side, above and left of the brake pedal the main harness for the car goes through a huge (4" or so) grommet. There is approx. 1-1.5" of extra grommet that is unused. Go just below and to the left of the existing wire bundle. Poke through with a coat hanger or something first, and go gently. If you take your time you won't cause any harm, and it will EASILY accomodate 4ga.

So do you do this from the inside of the car or from the engine compartment?
Thanks for your help!

It was easier for me from inside. Of course I was also hasty and messed the grommet up a bit. be patient :)

I ran a 4Ga power cable through there... I pushed it through the
fire wall, then used a very long pair of pliers to grab it down
behind the fuse box under the hood! Hopes that helps!!

Great advice, I really appreciate it.
