I just recieved mine that I bought off of coolgt1 and I remember way back in the day about you guys talking about the vacuum line for the map sensor or something like that. I would like to know If it still gets plugged or does it need to be connected to the vacuum manifold and if it does what do you do with other line thats already there I think it goes to the EVAP. any help is appreciated.

The tube that connects to the MAP sensor from the EVAP port gets capped. The port from the MAP should be connected to the port on the Vacuum Manifold adapter.;)

Kman, how much is the rebuild going to total you? Mine seems to be secreting oil on the snout by the pulley... after long and, hard driving.
(I know - it looks phallic :( )

Pat The rebuild is going to be about $600. The rebuild includes: new rotors, bearings and resurfacing of the SC housing. That price covers the SC drive assembly also. I should have it back by next Monday or Tuesday. Secretions, Hmmmm? :boogie:

Yeah, the shaft puts out some oil after long drives. Not a lot of oil, maybe half a teaspoon at most...
$600? That is a lot of cash for a rebuild!!! All custom work for us... damn low demand!!!!

Excuse me boys, but I haven't been on much lately. What's up with KMan's SC (and now seems Jaketuff's). Is there somehing defective that is starting to creep in after X amount of miles?

Mine is not defective. When I had a new pulley installed, somehow the bearings in the SC were damaged. The problem became worse and I sent the entire SC to Magnuson for a rebuild. I will have it back next Wednesday :boogie:

I have had this happening to quite a few SC's
It is just stuff that you may have to live with

kman, how is it running stock after having the SC so long. Does the car seem super slow?

When I floor it, that instant response I had with SC is not there. By next Friday, I'll be one very happy guy. The boost will return.:boogie:

I beleive I have it hooked up right but im haveing problems with it stalling if I rev the engine then let of real fast. I have the MAP sensor hooked up to the vacuum manifold and all, so I must be missing something. and I also don't understand what you said about "te tube that connects to the MAP sensor from the EVAP port gets capped" because there is no tube on mine that connects the two or im really blind.could you tell me everything that gets hooked up to the vacuum manifold and go into detail about hooking up the MAP sensor. pictures would be nice. thanks again for any help.

Forget the EVAP port thing, I was wrong about that. On the Vacuum Manifold you should have 2 ports used and 1 capped. Vacuum Manifold should have 1 port connection from there to the MAP Sensor and 1 connection from there to a port on the SC. The remaining port on the SC is capped. The tube that was connected to the OEM FPR should be capped and sealed also.
