Fedorov wont be back. They have a strong enough offense, but their defense has just been upgraded. As for the Avs....thats a tough lineup to beat. Those four along make a strong offense w/o mentioning players liek Hejduk. The best thing about it (for them) is that Selanne and Kariya played so well together when both played in Anaheim. I plan on a bright few years for the Avs. (as long as their goaltending stands strong) The Hawks will most likely suck. Again. Damn GM will not spend any money for decent players. >:l

Now ya know where my forum name came from.....lol Yeah what a crazy move that has been. If only they could back that up with goaltending. I just dont know how good Abeisheir really can be.

When I used to watch hockey from 1995-1998 I think, I definately remember watching Selanne and Kariya play together on the ice and I always thought what a powerhouse combo they were. IMO, they were the best hockey duo in the NHL (although I believe Phoenix also had an awesome duo, can't think of the names tho :confused: ). Good deal the Avs got.

He can't come out of retirement until next year unfortunately; either way I don't think he'll come back. Without him they should be able to win it, Aebischer and the rest of the team looked really solid last night.

Btw, to the wings fans; they already got stomped in preseason by the avs, and barely pulled off their season opener...good luck this season. :)
