My Quad four is running rough. What I have found is the number one cylinder is not firing. So I replace the plugs and boots(wires).Still have the same problem.Step 2 check engine codes and it says bad MAP sensor.Replace this no change.Okay break out the manual and start trouble shooting the ignition.Coils and associated wiring checks okay.Tells me it is the ignition module.Replace this and still have the same results.Getting fuel just no spark? These parts are getting expensive to say the least.Anybody have a clue?I'm about to lose it on this car. It's a present for my son as he just got his learners permit. Thanks for any help. Steve

I don't have the slightest idea. But I would try posting this over at http://www.quad4forums.com/

try replacing the piece under your IDI cover and make sure the connection is TIGHT. I had the same problem with mine and that fixed it. now the car has over 220000 miles on it and still no problems ( other than little $.05 and $.10 stuff)

:stupid: Yea, check that plug to the ignition module. I had the same problem when mine was loose. I could wiggle the plug and it would run normal while I held it.
The rubber seal boot on the plug actually deformed on mine, causing the plug to not fit in all the way. Try removing the rubber piece and plugging it in hard.

Also check the plug connection, I forgot about that, I ended up cheating a using a little silicone to give it a nice firm seal because that tab had broken and was causing SEVERE power loses.
