I just installed some new BOSCH windshield Wiper Blades.... I got the top of the line ones that have the teflon coating on them.. I paid like $25 for the two blades. I goto use them today (first rainfall since putting them on a couple of weeks ago) and MAJOR chatter across the windshield. BOTH OF them are doing this. When I got home, I took some rubbing alcohol on a cloth and tried to wipe them down. Lots of dirt came off, but they're still chattering across the windshield. This is REALLY driving me crazy.. What causes this, and HOW can I get this to stop???

Put Rain-X on your windshield :)
Also, just live with it for a bit. Last time I put new wipers on (about a month ago) I went for the cheap ones and they did that for about a week, then it magically went away.

Personally, I wouldn't reccomend Bosch to anyone as far as windshield wipers go. I've done a few comparison tests of my own and the Bosch don't seem to perform or last as long as others. I use Anco (from Autozone) and they have worked the best for me. Anco are cheaper too!
As far as fixing them... live with it and they "should" quit chattering, I actually switched before my Bosch stopped making noise.

I had the chatter when i didn't install them correctly. Make sure you didn't crack any of the retaining clips and make sure they are locked firmly in position. I went back to see i cracked on of the retaining clips and had to purchase new blade, but installed them more carefully the second time.

I have a problem with the passenger side blade not having enough pressure on blade for a clean sweep. I have put new quality blades on and still misses in middle of blade. Any ideas or if dealer has stronger springs?

I have Bosch Micro Edge Excel blades and I have no problem with them. Much better than stock blades.

Rubbing alcohol may not be the best to use on the rubber/silicone that the blade is made of because it could dry out the stuff and crack the blade.
IME/IMO DON'T use RainX on the front windsheild.
After I put it on and used the wipers, the wipers smeared the rainX and I got complete glare AT NIGHT from streetlamps in the rain.
I mean I'd drive under a street lamp and the RainX made the windsheild completely opaque. Quite dangerous in high pedestrian areas.... actually quite dangerous period.
had to use TSP to get it off.
Try cleaning the windshield with some quality glass cleaner and wipe off the edge of the blades with a clean paper towel . Works for me ...:D

Most wiper blades come with rubbing alcohol to clean it off, which is important to do.

It is most likely the arm of the windshield which is bent or the whole motor mount and arm are loose so they are not having a strong pressure on teh windshield when the arm/blade sweep across. Make sure first off that your wiper arms and motor are snug and not bobbling around, if that all looks good perhaps the arm itself is not curved as much as it needs to be which is causeing it to lift the blade in mid-window... just trouble shoot the parts, you should hopefully be abl eot find and fix the problem easily enough. Good luck.
