I just recently put eibachs on my car with out cutting the bump stops and have not had any problems yet. The only reason I did not cut them is because I am not sure where they are at.

I did have a slight noise at first from the rear and it turned out that I did not have the center bolt for the strut tightened all the way down.

I had a similar problem like that also....cept mine was with the front....it actually was a horrible screeching sound when I turned or went up driveways...it ended up being that the spring actually shifted and was turning around in the mount causing the screeching noises and clunking noises becuz of the bolts (I think) on the upper mount (I think, Lol...would have to ask my mechanic for sure tho :/ )

correct me if im wrong but i basically get the impression that all those noises and stuff go away with time...that they just need to "settle" somewhat.

Yeah, mine made some pretty nasty noises at first. They eventually went away as the spring settled. I still get an odd noise from the fron pass. side, but I'm 99% sure it's the strut boot rubbing. I trimmed all the others but forgot to trim that one.

On another note... Once the H&Rs settled, it was good for almost a 2" drop on my car.

You have to make sure that the end of the steel is indexed in the same spot as the factory spring in the mounting pad. There is a recess for the end of the coil to fit into. Turn spring until its seated in correct place and clunk will go away.
