No you do not have to change the struts. I changed them both that way I will not have to mess with it for a while.

Dont street race, espically with a '95 Grand Am, or any Grand Am for that matter. AutoX or SCCA would be cool, just keep if off the streets.

well i wasnt talking real street racing there boss. i meant street legal heads up type of racing. i dunno. now i confused myself!lol
Don't worry about changing your struts right away. My car is dropped on eibachs with stock struts that have 28,000 miles and they're holdin up well on the city streets. They will be fine for now, but they will wear out quicker so be prepared.

If ur over 50,000 miles on ur car then u might want to chage the strut's, If not then u should be ok for normal driving...
If ur doing road racing or anything like that then i would look in to getting front and rear sway bars, Big brake up grade(single piston calipers sux, but fine for the street's not at the race's)
Intrax with kybs or eibach's would be a nice set up ....

little off topic.....i might start my own....but how much does the eibachs lower the car....ive heard from a few peeps that there a little conservitive. J/w thanks.I think the 2" from the H&R's will be to much for my daily driver....and my car seems lower than most so...yea

Well the say it about 1.5 in the front and 1.0 in the back but i thinking the rear is like 1.2 or 1.3 once they settle and have been on the car for few weeks.
They are pretty good for everyday driving .... IMO
H&R are nice i've see smoove99se (GA) with H&R's a it a bit lower then the eibach...

I did a before and after measurement of the eibachs drop. The front dropped exactly 1.25". The back was around the same, but i did not measure.

if I were to take apart the suspension and do it myself do I need camber adjustments????
or can I just install myself and then bring it to a GM dealer for alignment?? will GM dealers do alignment on lowered cars??
cause it's 300 for springs and another like 200 for labor and I've changed the spring/struts out on a cavy before and wasn't that hard.
I know I'll need a realignment after.

Anytime you disconnect the struts from the knuckles you need an alignment. Your dealer should have no problem with doing an alignment for you.

If u make a refernce mark on the strut knukle's and re line to that mark u should be ok till u get to a alig. shop. What happens to the alignment when u pop out the blots is u lost camber.
