hey guys i had one of my friends do my wiring for me on my amp. and he ran the wire underneith my car. i have had it for about 6 months now and i don't have any problems yet but it scares me...do i have anything to worry about?:confused:

Real installation would have probably been easier!!
After a while that wire will start to corrode and eventually break.
If you don't have it fused it could smoke the amp!!
Technically you can do major damage!!
It's real simple all you have to do is find a hole in your fire wall then bring up, very carefully, your side trim and run your wires down the INSIDE of your car!!

Uh yeah It kinda gets hot under there with road temps exaust (down here in florida the black top gets damn hot) but I have heard of competition cars (screamin Eagle from one of the car audio mags) he ran his under his Eagle Talon but he sheilded it with a pvc pipe so that it wouldnt get damaged. But it is real easy to just poke a hole in one of the gromets on the driver side, pull back the carpet and you will see some bracing and a 4 ga wire will fit under those things real nice and you won't ever notice it. if you don't want to do it yourself circut city charges like $30 an hour or something. yea i have a spot in my firwall but i ws kinda worried about the 4ga. wire fitting under my carpet by the door. thanx alot tho guys...i thought hte kid knew what he was doing...obviously he didn't lol

ROTFLMAO i know this doesnt help you any but sorry that is just the funniest thing ive heard all day! next time maybe you'll learn and have someone work on your car who knows what they are doing, id be banning your friend from your car if i were you :rolleyes:

actually its not my car it's my favorite car and I wish I mean Really wish I had one. my old username on the old site was blackvette I just havent found a new one.
