I am wondering if anybody here has gotten a set of the Continental ContiExtremeContact tires. According to the ratings from tirerack.com:
tire ratings (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ContiExtremeContact&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=25VR6CEC&fromCompare1=yes)
they did pretty good. I am thinking about these because they are fairly cheap. Does anybody have any opinions of them, and how long they lasted?
Thanks

i need new tires too, and after viewing the specs and price, i think i might go with them, excellent treadwear and same traction and temp. ratings as the rs-a's, and almost half the price. i would also be interested if anyone has used these.

I am sticking with the 16's (mainly because I do not have new rims). I am suprised nobody has the continentals out yet. I figured somebody would have because of the price and the good ratings they are getting.

Check out the link below for some other views on these tires. I'm looking to get a set for my car here soon. I've been look at tires for a while and these are the best ones for the price for all-season. At first I was gonna get the Bridgestone RE950's but the snow traction was bad and then I was gonna get the Sumitomo HTR+'s but when these Conti's came out, they were getting better reviews. But if the Conti's hadn't come out, I'd definitely get the HTR+'s.

Thanks, let me know what you think of them. I will probably be ordering mine shortly. It just so happens tirerack has a store in Reno, NV which is about a 2.5 hour drive away for me.
For the price and the reviews they are getting, might as well. For me I want them for the wet weather traction as well as the good all-around performance that the reviews are saying. Plus the reviews mentioned that they are really good in tread wear. For a ultra-high performance all-season tire, that is pretty good.
