Flushing Power Steering Fluid

Has anyone ever flushed their power steering fluid? I would like to flush mine on my 99 GT and put in synthetic ATF fluid. Is it possible to just loosen some lines and drain the fluid from the pump/reservoir and rack and pinion?

I use the turkey baster method over 5 days and measure what I remove from the reservoir so I can replace it with exactly the same amount. I do this once a year and it's easy. Make sure you don't use the baster for anything else :D
