gotta love some nice airbrushing. Fricken hate all the vinyl people try pulling off as anything other than a sticker. The flames are out of place with the whole fantasy midevil scene. The artist seems to have skill, he should have just went with the fantasy theme all the way and not waste all that room with cliche flames.

the green color is sweet, the extras on the paint are just cluttered. the ground effects is awesome. overall, it's a sweet car. the paint is well-done, but the whole scheme just isn't working together right.

...i'm with you on pretty much everything, but the green color being sweet... not my taste at all... airbrushing is cool, but seems outta place... i'll stick to my vinyl graphic (don't worry safemode, i've never said mine was anything other than a sticker ;) ) ...but personally i'm not too fond of this car, but i do give the owner props for his hard work and customization...
...i like my buddy's GP: see attached

your buddie's gp is nice looking too. But i dont think he needs to remind people it's a grand prix with big letters on the windshield. Not like it gets confused with a civic all the time.
I guess i should mention that i absolutely hate companies that slap their name all over their product essentially making you pay to be their moving advertisement. Product differentiation should be in the product itself, if you cant tell what kind of car the car is then that's a flaw in the car design. Yes i know he put the letters on but same effect. I'd take off these badges off my car if it wasn't probably too late for the paint. Of course if the car is given to you or anything else then none of this applies.
also i'm wondering why they put headlight covers on the car when it obviously never sees the real road. They showed us the tail lights, headlights would have been nice.

lol... safemode my buddy... mine used to say Pontiac too... it's not that product differentiation isn't there, it's that most car companies try to get their vehicles to have a family look to them, so people will know "hey that's a chevrolet" or "that's a pontiac" ...however, non-car people can be stupid... u know how many times my car has been called a Grand Prix?? ...that's a pretty old pic, but i'm sure people have confused his car with a GA which is why he put that their...it's not cuz the product itself is "flawed" it's that people are dumb...

yea, but then you should be asking yourself, do you really care what the dumb people think? Anyone who's gonna have anything meaningful to you to say about your car is going to be someone who isn't car stupid. Compliments and comments are great and all, if the person knows what they're talking about.
If it was a negative comment you'd dismiss it right away as the person not knowing what they're talking about (if they weren't into cars, ie. dumb)...so why would you do different for the positive comments?
As for why companies do it. It's all for the advertising. Most people just dont care what kind of car something is. They want it to work well for whatever their needs are. Most people also look at what other people have and want what they have so companies advertise the car on the car so people can go and ask for what they want by name. Yes this is because people are dumb but i still hate it. people who do know the difference should be able to opt out of being a driving billboard (some dealerships go way out of control with badges and such). This whole hating being someone's advertiser and paying to be it stems from clothing mostly. The day i pay 80 bucks for a pair of pants or 40 for a shirt and it has a huge logo or even written name of the company that made it is the day I impale myself onto a rusty hay fork through my genitals.

I'm not a fan of the body kit at all. It just doesn't blend with the car. The color is very extreme, but it's done nicely!! The red in the tails doesn't really match anything else either.
Besides those few minor, minor details I don't care for... major props :)
... u know how many times my car has been called a Grand Prix??

it's a nice lookin grand prix, but, yeah, the scheme doesn't really go.. i found the headlight cover's outta place as well.
oh, and on the putting the name of your car on the windshield thing, i don't have it, and i don't think i'd get it, but i did consider it at one point. Just because you don't like it safemode, doesn't mean some others don't. If i was to put it on my car, i'd be more of a, im happy to have this kinda car, and i like the way it looks, not for a like.. hey non car people this is the kinda car i have, type of thing.
My buddy just put a bit VW sticker on the back of his car, it's like hey whatever man, if you like the way it looks, and your proud to have the VW, then go for it, who cares what others say.

Yea and I have a Polish eagle on the back windshield. Does that mean I am advertising Polacks? I mean I hate it when I am mistaken for a Russian! We are so different! Maybe I should get more Polish flags, I dont think people know what it looks like, unless there Polish....Am I advertising Polacks to Polacks????? But I fear that the Police wont like my advertising of things that are not american oriented..... He may just think its a Bald Eagle!!! O ****! Maybe its not a good eagle at all!

im w/ u safemode all the way.......car co's want a moving billboard.....i mean.....i can understand one or MAYBE 2 badges per car......but if u buy a new car, go look at it from all 4 sides......it will have at least one badge on each side so whenever somebody looks at ur car from whatever side/angle, they will know what kinda car or company that product is and so the newbies or car-novice ppl will mostly be the ones falling for their product.....
And if they are gonna put bages on em., pls..... companies.....be creative.....make them stylish and small.........not your typical hulk-sized BLOCK letters or even better.......instead of putting the name , replace it w/ a nice symbol, etc.....
