My Ecotec problem

On my way to work July 2nd my timing chain broke in my 2002 Grand Am SE which has Ecotec power.... Thankfully warranty covered the tow, rental, timing chain replacement..... and having the head rebuilt. Hope this is helps some Eco owners about possible problems. Maybe i am just an isolated case.

BTW.... car has 35,000km's

Did they say it was defective? Thats way early for a timing chain to go... Usually they go beyond 100,000 miles or so with no problem. Even timing belts last longer than that.
