Ok for about 2 months now my rear strut tower brace is clicking. Ive retorqued the nuts to what they should be (or at least what the book i has said they should be) and they still continue to click but its only when i take semi-hard corners. Ive gone andmessed around with it for a hour or so one day and still the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is????

which rear STB do you have? I had TNL bar and had issues with getting it to fit and stay in place (clunking sound when taking corners). I returned mine and got a SLP instead.

You have to dremel out the screw hole a little bigger so it have enough play to mount properly. I have TNL and must say I am very disappointed with how the rear bracket sits. I heard one other person before and now you two are having problems too. Anyone else?

Aleroboy will hook you up. This bar is very nice and fits perfectly with big washers that tighten it down.

Ya not only does it not fit properly but im disappointed with the paint (only the front). Its starting to really chip off bad and now its rusting a little.

Quality of my TNL bar is fine, but I agree they could have made the rear bracket a little better. Biggest reason I wanted it is it's lighter and stiffer than the other bars available. The clunking sound is the bracket shifting. I solved it by running a drill bit thru the bolt hole to enlarge it a little so it fit better. Then I put a lock washer, flat washer, and nut on the other two bolts that come thru from the bottom on each side. That keeps the bracket down.

seriously, i wish there were some good pictures. i am gonna try and squeeze my camera up there tomorrow and take a few. there is a large 2 - 2.5" washer on each side plus the two main strut bolts that you anchor this puppy with and it is rock solid. very well made. can't go wrong with slp.
