**This works for GT tail lights only**
First you start out by removing the tail light and its housing by pulling back the trunk liner and removing the 4 screw on nuts from the back. Next, pull the light out slowly and remove the power cable. Get a phillips head screw driver and remove the plastic piece (should be 3 screws holding it on)
Next, remove the rubber gasket from around the light, theres some glue under there but dont worry about it, just slowly pull the gasket off. Now get in a good position holding the light down. I have found using a paint scraper and a box knife is the best for seperating the lense.
Use the box knife and slowly cut around the lense. It takes a while take your time and you wont crack the lense. You will hear awful poping and cracking noises but its just the glue breaking from its hold. Use the paint scraper intermittenly to break some of the hold esp at the corners. Once the lense is seperated pull the reflectors out they are held in by clips.
I used silicone to glue the lense back on. that seemed to work great. Put silicone around the edges making sure there are no holes and let it dry a little. then silicone the rubber gasket back on as well. Rub the excess silicone off makeing sure none is coming from under the gasket and let the lights sit over night and dry. Reinstall and replace the clear 3157 with red bulbs and 3156 bulbs with amber bulbs. Reinstall the lights, reinstall the screw on nuts and Wahlaa you have clear tails.
Any questions let me know:thumbs:
