What a series, and last nights game was great, what a catch by Manny.

They are the best in American league and destined for a showdown in the playoffs. The Yankees will win it all in the end but it will not be easy.I am a little bias though because I am a Yankee fan.

I think it'll be close....but I see the sox going deep into the playoff this year.

I see the sox choking like they do every year and the yanks winning the east, and possibly the AL

Not that the sox bullpen is MUCH better, but the yanks aint gonna win the AL with what they got in there right now. Arent most of their bullpen eligible for retirement? :D

Here's the deal, until the sox actually prove they are a power house team (by winning the division and the AL) they will always be known as a 2nd place team...no matter how old the yankees bullpen is, the yanks starting rotation is still waaaaay ahead of the sox, and the yanks still have the best closer in the game:thumbs:
Who's yo daddy:D

Best Closer? Couldve used him on Saturday and Sunday night.
Starters WAYYY ahead? I dont think so, can't be that much better, we're only 1.5 games out.
I will agree with the 2nd place thing though, Sox need to prove themselves. So far their offense has been incredible, I just hope they dont choke (like always) lol...

Being 1.5 games out isnt all about the starters, the bullpen (which yes you are right, the yankees isnt that great) is what usually decides games. The yankess do have better staters and yes the yankees have the BEST closer in Mariano Rivera, Benitez can go lay next to jimmy hoffa

Yea that's right, the problem with my Yankees is that the middle relief let games getaway, but give the game over to Rivera and he will seal the deal.Boston is good but when all the marbles are in play they can't get the job done! The starters are up in age but they still have what it takes to get the job done and the Sox would be alot farther back if the bullpen could hold its own!
The Yankees have proven themselves time & time again. When you think of baseball one name comes to mind and that is the New York Yankees!!!!!!They have ruled MLB since the beginning and will be no differrent in the future.

Sox looked good last night, Mueller hits 3 HR, 2 for Grand Slams, one from each side of the plate. 14-7 rout of the Rangers.
I agree with all of you about the Yanks, but I still think the sox look really good this year. If they don't choke, which is a big IF, th Yanks could be in trouble this year.
And actually Rob, the yanks havent ruled since the beginning. If I remember correctly, I think the sox won the first three mlb championships. The yanks have been the best throughout mlb history though, i will agree with that. Theyre by far the most competetive, and reliable sports team we've ever seen.
