I DO! I actually work at Cog Hill Golf Course in Lemont, Illinois, where the Western Open is played. I have played since the age of 12, and consider myself to be a fairly good!

Hey, you have a GREAT job. I carry a Taylor Made R580 with a stiff GraffAlloy shaft, a Callaway Steelhead II strong three with Sensacore steel shaft, an old school Goldwin Golf five wood with their graphite shaft, and a Callaway Warbird seven wood. My irons are Titleist 962 DCIs with steel shafts. I carry Volkey wedges and an Oddessy putter. I play Titleist ProV1x, though I am experimenting with the new Wilson Jack and also the Titleist DT SoLo. Sorry to go on, but I know this is probably interesting to you!! lol What do you carry?

Oh me too...i'm and avid golfer...

I started 2 weeks ago, and I use my dad's old clubs. I'm hitting decently with the 3 fairway wood, (in fact, i hit that farther than i do with my driver off the tee-when i actually hit the ball)

My short game is improving though..I used a 3 iron and hit the ball a whopping 50 yards...but it got on the green! and I sank a 20 foot putt..once :)

I recently played my first full 18 holes (which evidently were the only holes i've ever played) and shot an astounding 132! on a par 72. Not too shabby :)

GASE2 may disagree, but many beginning golfers use a three or five wood off of the tee. I did, in fact. Learning can be REALLY frustrating, but it is a lifelong game, and a joy to play most of the time. Just keep at it!

Really? I wonder why it's just so much easier to hit with a 3 than with my 1. Actually, even though i'm not very good at this point, i'm still enjoying myself alot. I just need to keep hitting that driving range to practice, and i'll be cool :)

Well, one or two beers is cool, but beer and golf make for some unruley people on the course. I know because I have to deal with them on a daily basis. Not cool!

haha me 2 brett...they can get out of hand...anyways i have a titleist 983E driver 8.5 degree, stiff fujikura shaft, callaway warbird 3 wood wit a 65 UST stiff shaft, callaway x-14 pro series xtra stiff steel 2-p, cleveland 56 and 60 wedges, and a scotty cameron santa fae putter...im lookin at the new Ping irons tho..there coming out in August...supposed to be a real hot iron..i play PROV1 X and maxfli A10...and i also agree that as beginers u should never hit a driver....start out with your 3 or 5 and build confidence so one day u can rip the driver 285 down the middle...haha

Nice choice in clubs! I also want to look at the new Pings, as I used to play the old Zing 2's. Glad my advice was seconded by you!

I play from time to time, maybe four or five rounds a year. Not that good from the tee and I am not sure yet what the fairway is. Everyone talks about it, but I have yet to see it lol. I got a fairly good short game from 150 yards inwards, its just getting there and consistentsy that is the killer. Last time out I one putted 7 times and two putted 10 holes and three putted one (rimmed it).

I will be playing at Northville Hills Golf Course this friday with a supplier ($65 a round during the week). The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and cuts in and out of a subdivison I build houses in. Should be fun. Hope I don't hit any houses. lol

Stopped hanging out on the corners? LOL

Yeah I think if I can straighten my driver out I probably could drop around 10 strokes off my game, its got some radar device on water and trees for some reason. My girlfriend played golf in college when she was in Kentucky and she said I am lacking off the tee and I need more consistentcy on long shots, but she is jealous when it comes to chipping and putting. Nailed a 90 footer last time out.
