Has anyone ever done any research on this? I saw one at Pro M Racing but they don't currently make one for our cars.

http://www.diablosport.com/predator.html If you hit the user's manual link you can see what it does. Looks like an answer to being able to reflash back to factory setting, plus you have an OBDII code reader built right into it.

I shot DiabloSport an email to see if they intend to make one for the 3.4.

They're just like hypertech, the ECU isn't as easy to setup or it's not reprogrammable and that's why there's no flasher for them, just the ASE/DHP programs that are a replacement chip on your ECU. I had a hypertech programmer for a 4.3l vortec v6 truck and shazaaaam it was great, it cranked up the timing for 93octane / 160* tstat, higher firmer shifts, raised top speed to 149mph from the stock 97. It was great, the assdyno gave it atleast 25hp/tq BUT remember the 4.3 was rated at like 215hp so there was some displacement to work with. I would buy the very first test unit of they released a programmer for our car!!!

I don't think you are correct about the DHP reprogram. I am almost certain its not custom chip. Otherwise, why would you ever buy a flashgaurd plan if the dealer couldn't reflash it?

DHP is not a chip. Our PCM (not an ECU) can be reflashed, it's been done by them and several other guys have custom reprograms.

phantom505- you're correct, that's exactly the reason for the flashguard option on a DHP
