Hey, I am curious as to what would be the CHEAPEST and fastest way to gain 15-30 HP of the line? I have done the AIT sensor resistor but it only helps with in-town accel., not when it's punched. I need a quick speed fix.
Thanx,
Ron

Hook a vacuum cleaner motor up to your intake system. Switch that **** on when you're punching it, it'll help your in-town accel. and your punched accel. phat mad style, safely.
Heh...sorry I'm just messin with ya buddy. Welcome to the board. There's no way to get cheap power...like 15-30 hp. Some consider nitrous cheap power, like $600-700 cheap for a decent setup with all safety needs...
Honestly, start off with a CAI (cold air intake) from FDP or Dr. Speed (do a Search and you'll find lots). Next, get some type of exhaust, SLP or custom if you want cheap. New Spark Plugs and Wires always helps throttle response. 180 thermostat....after all that you'll prolly have 15hp.
Out of curiosity...why do you NEED 15-30 hp right away? Did you go and tell someone "i'm gonna waste you in a race man" that runs high 14's?? sigh....

Nah, I was just reading some stuff about a 20 hp gain with the resistor and wanted to check with you guys to see if it was really THAT easy. A cheap resistor didn't seem like it would do anything at all. I figured 20 HP was HIGHLY underestimated and these results just weren't possible. What makes these people think 20 hp is a potential gain from that simple mod?

Nobody in their right mind thinks that'll produce 20hp. It's a marketing gimmick.
You'll see that with any modification. Everyone says "oh that'll give you 20 hp and that'll give you 20hp and that'll give you 40hp."
The only things that give you good power cost you money, for the most part. CAI, Headers, Exhaust, PP Intake Manifolds, TB, Heads, Supercharger, tuned PCM.
BTW: CAI will only give you like 5hp. Headers 20. Exhaust 5-10. Don't expect huge gains from this stuff.

NP, that's what we're here for.....I would seriously look into getting a CAI. It's what most guys start out with, and you can build upon that. Search for "CAI" and you'll be on here all day looking at results.
