Custom Clear Tailights

Are custom clear tailights illegal and did anybody ever get picked up for having them:confused:

they might pull u over for being really bright if u put led's in there, but i cant see how their illegal.

When I had them in my 2000, never once was anything said to me about them. If you use LED's you won't have to worry about fade. I prefer the colored bulbs, but over time they do fade. If you go the route of bulbs, if they faded to the point where they were more white than red.... then you might have a problem
