I have just completed swapping engines in my 1995 Grand Am.

I swapped my original 3100 engine for a brand new 2000 Aztek 3400 rated at 185/210. The engine had never been in a car and is brand new with ZERO miles.

The engine runs strong and is now undergoing a very gentle break in period.

P.S. Thank you to all the people who helped me gather information for the swap and thanks to my mechanic Dave for his help as well.

that's no fun, what's the point of the bigger engine if you're not gonna use it?

Take her nice and tender for now Jazz... that way you can get better times at the track when you hit it!:D

What was the higher HP for??? Wasn't it the "less restrictive" bends in the exhuast system that account for this?

PICs please!
