What Motor

hey i want to do a 3800 GTP motor in my 87 grand am SE
my neighbor came over and said that i can get a quad 4 with 180 horse stock... aint there a ton of performance mods for the quad 4???

WHAT MOTOR SHOULD I PICK???

The Quad 4 would be the better choice. You would have to find a High Output Quad 4 from a 1992 GA GT, to get the 180 hp. There should be performance parts availabe for that motor(2.3 H.O Quad 4). ;)

do u no of anything there is taht would make a ton of power...... either way i want to get about 300 horse outta a motor.....
would the 2.4 HO still make it?

so your saying that a quad 4 HO would be a better swap...
would that bolt in?
and who makes performance parts for that engine

i would say go with the quad 4 i think it would be an easier swap over all

What motor is in your car now? The quad 4 has its share of problems. I should know. :thumbs:
