99 gt cluster work for an 01?

Will a 00 or 99 gt cluster gauge work with my 2001 ga se. I know the odometer will be off... but everything will work correctly? I want to put the 99 silver gauges from pcp on my gauges.. so if i get the 99 i wont have to pull out the pin stops

I hear that it works. Speed-o and tach works like it came in the car oem.
