Your Engine of course is going to get hot after running for a few min. I would check your coolant to make sure your not low, and make sure ur fans are working to keep the engine cooled down. Some places will tell you just so they can make more money. If you want to get ur engine cleaned, I would get it steamed cleaned. There is some kinda engine cleaning stuff out there but im not sure if I would try it, thats totally up to you.

Did he try and sell you something he claimed would make it cooler? Engines are dirty, as long as coolants are full and functional you are fine.

I agree, they were probably just trying to make a quick buck! (unless you have a 2 inch layer of grime covering your engine)

I would tell him to keep the shampoo in his hair and take the $39 to pfyc.com and buy something!

not reallt sure if this is relevant....but i use purplr power to clean mine...cover the motor spray off works great....dirt does keep heat in and make things cool off slower....but i dont think it really matters on a engine....
