Just bought a pre-owned 99GT Coupe with 74k miles. Love the car's comfort, looks and solid handling and performance. A couple of noises concern me though. I read some stuff about the "piston slap" on cold startup. I have that and it goes away after warmup. I hear that in most cars its just annoying and not a death sentence. Is there anything that can be done to lessen the rattle, ie different oil weight or higher octane?. Also, I notice when car is cold the steering wheel makes a noise like vinyl rubbing. Anybody else have this? Nice website by the way.:thumbs:
