Is there any secret to removing the cap from the coolant reservoir? I tried to check it last nite and the thing turns but wont come loose.

Not sure, maybe trying push and turning. Like a medicine continaer or something.

Becareful taking it off when coolant is warm.
The coolant is under up to 15 psi.

Best to remove cap when engine is cold.

Just push down & turn the cap counter-clockwise, slowly.

The cap is on there extremely tight. Just keep turning, nothing else, just turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, and then turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn. Then presto, it'll come right off.

Remember keep turning, and make sure the engine is cold!!!

Also, although it might just be mine but once you get it out check the threads to make sure it's not stripped. I've been through 3 of them so far b/c for some reason the threads get worn down.

Well, I got the cap off just to find an inner cap. There doesnt appear to be any way to get it off other than prying it off (nothing to hang on to).
