i have been looking at exhaust systems for my car and i cant decide whether to go with borla or slp... is there a big difference in horse power and sound between the two different exhaust systems? which would be worth my money?

SLP simple as that ... go to the performance section and read up in the forum, there are plenty of resources, infact there is an intake and exhuast thread

SLP all the way. That's what I am getting soon. Saves money, bigger piping, sounds louder.

If you change your exhaust, does it void your dealer warrenty?

I would say APOC.
Aleroboy owns it and it's the cheapest there. If you are getting one soon, let me know because when we have a group buy, it will be $400 shipped(saves around 30 bux). All I need is one more order(2 total at least).

Well how loud is the SLP? I want something louder and knowticable, but I still want to be able to comfortably talk to someone next to me in the car. When I am going easy on the gas, will the thing sound like a top fuel dragster???

I heard that the borla is quieter, but it's also 200 bucks more. Should I just go with the borla?

Uh...no. The Borla sounds like stock, the SLP is a bit louder. SLP is a bit louder, but amazing on sound quality. You can def. hold a conversation. I don't get where people say "SLP is so loud".....it's one of the quieter cat-back exhausts I've ever heard on a car, next to the Borla. But it's still nice!

Where in the Chicagoland are you? I have headers/SLP kit/magnaflow muffler, and my friend Mike has the SLP kit on, you can hear em both in person.

Just order SLP. You will be dissapponited with Borla, not to mention it's a lot more $$ than SLP. Hell, when I first heard SLP in person, I wish it were louder. I ordered SLP from Doctor Speed. It should be here any day now.

Are you putting on the SLP yourself? If so, let me know how hellish it was for you. If not, let me know how much labor costs you. I'm just starting to weigh my options. But seems that SLP is gonna be the winner.

I am gonna take my car to Midas. They said $60 bux max. And there is a coupon on Midas website that gives you $10 off. So probably no more than $50 bucks. I heard it's easy to install, but I don't have jacks, so might as well take it to the pros.
