What color, and what kind of spray paint should I use to paint the engine cover... I want to make it match the RAM-AIR cover.
So what color black and what color red matches that cover?

Black black, and red red. With gloss. Ill sell my special mix of it to you for 200 dollars / can.

funny but there are different shades of black and red and gloss for red only?

Only one shade of black, and red, well, that's just going to have to be off.
You need to buy High-Temp paint. Rustoleum makes a flat black paint. It has a picture of a grill on it. That'll work for ya, and as far as a high-gloss red, try autozone or some other auto store.

are you talking about the upper intake manifold, or the engine cover you can buy aftermarket like what i have?

not the intake manifold i want to paint the aftermarket cover that is standard on olds silouhtte http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=230427 does someone make an overlay for the 3400 SFI on the cover in red?

I used Krylon plasti-kote on mine and its holding up great.
BTW, if you are interested, vinyl overlays are now available for the "3400 SFI" on these covers, let me know if you want a set.
