Reverse corner lamp ----> Turn signal

I just came out with the idea of converting the corner reverse lamps to yellow turnsignal lights. Has this been mentioned before? I think if I can get the extension harness, it would be easy.

my buddy aj has that done already. he hooked up an led to each of his corner reverse lights and they blink along with the normal turn signals. very original idea.

yun, u would just have to splice into the turn signal wires if i am correct.

Amber, 912 bulbs. Any brand will work.

Tetrasion and I got this to work. It's pretty easy. You splice the signal wire that goes into the taillight assembliy, cut the wire that goes down to the rear corner lamp and connect the new wire from the spliced spot to the corner lamp. It's not bright since the bulb faces the corner, but it definitely looks nice at nights. God, I so wish I had a camara. We used yellow Sylvania 12 watt bulbs that fits right in.

yes u did... thank you very much for that seth... it was done about a year ago now i believe... or close to it... i didn't need the corner reverse lights cuz i rarely parallel park... like seth said... any amber 912 bulb will work...

here... i found the thread from last november when i posted this fuzzy pic of my quad blinkers... back when i still had red upper turn signals... u can see the amber blinkers on the bottom...u get the idea though in this pic...

We used Sylvania 194NA yellow ones. They fit right in.

Where did you get the bulbs at? I can't find bulbs that are brighter than the ones I have. I have interior bulbs.

You shoud be able to find them at any auto part store...Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, Stratuss. I think Walmart even carry's em, well i know the one by me does..

Yeah we looked around but none of the crappy parts stores here carry them.

The bulbs that I have now are pretty bright at night. But since the bulb is facing the corner, it isn't noticable during the day.

...mine is pretty noticable... i got my bulbs from Autozone... try www.lightlens.com ...they should have em too

OK I got RED ones from lightlens, but they look pinkish!!!
I just took those damn things off right away cause I don't wanna be mistaken for something that I am not. :)
What brand was yours at Autozone? If you can remember?

the brand i got from Autozone is Sylvania... i think they look pinkish to you b/c of the lens... i've had two different companies amber lights in mine, and the bottom is still a lighter orange than the top... both my upper and lower blinkers are Sylvania bulbs and there is still a color difference... oh well...

Mine are red not yellow but it hasen't handeled teh mases of sow and crap that build up on the bumper... but they look great with good reflectors Mine are all worn now...http://www3.telus.net/public/sdl/sdl/back.jpg
