Not only one of the nicest looking....but best performing cars as well. Accelleration, top speed, handling......all the best. There's so much you can do to that motor too.....people have pushed 1000hp on stock bottom end.

You're mistaken. Both versions of the G35 (R35 Skyline in Japan) have the same engine (3.5 V6) and there is no turbo version and the reason it works that way is because it isn't the GT-R.
In fact the Skyline itself has always been a step down from the GT-R, as the past versions that resembled their GT-R counterparts were 2.5L single turbo L6 engines mated to a RWD drivetrain, denoted the RB25DET engine.
The GT-R version featured ATTESSA AWD mated to the RB26DETT, the infamous powerhouse engine/car that everyone is always talking about.
So there is a HUGE difference between a Skyline and a Skyline GT-R, which is why the new Skyline is already out in Japan and is just a G35 and the GT-R is not yet ready and will have AWD and more power.
That is what the link is showing and that's why it is special. A lot of people get confused by that point.
The engine for American is said to be a 4.5L v8 (like from the Q45) tweaked to 400 hp non-turbo and will be branded as an Infinity (Dunno if they'll call it a GTR or what tho). The worldwide version, or at least the Japanese version would be the same thing with a 3.5L v6 twin turbo tuned to 280 ps, the agreed manufacturer limit on power in Japan. Perhaps the same engine will pump out more power in Australia or something, but North America gets the 400 hp v8.

damn it! I hate it that many other countries have access to such awesome machines and we dont (or they get made different for us)

I'm honestly thinking about saving up and having Motorex import me an GT-R33......they're only like $35k.....so I'd be paying it off for a long time.

Just make sure u mean RB26DETT, there's a huge difference between that and the RB25DET, besides the displacement difference of only .1L (2.6L engine is the hot one vs. the 2.5L, although to be truthful the 2.5 is no slouch). ;)

Well I'd think of it this way, we're prolly gonna be better off. If they stuck in the RB26DETT engine in, I'd be like "aww, we lost out." But in this way the engine is much more powerful to start with and isn't even blown. Sure with mods and stuff the TT 3.5 can prolly approach 450 whp, but I dunno, in the past Nissan V6s have not shown to be very comfortable with boost (really the only V6 engines I've seen that are comfortable with high levels of boost are American 90 degree pushrods from both Ford and Chevy). And so far I think they've already been turbocharging the 3.5 v6 and have gotten 450 rwhp max so far.
Their inline engines are workhorses but their V6s don't seem to go too high. For instance, the Nissan 300Z twin turbo engines rarely go above 500 whp, and I'd say 600-700 whp is maxing out the engine (VG30DETT I believe is the engine code).
The 4.5 V8 should be able to hit that easier with a turbo setup, and boost would come faster and hold longer. I think in this case the US is secretly winning out, even tho many think the opposite.
The interesting part is going to be how they are gonna say that the TT version of the 3.5 puts out the same power as the N/A 3.5 in Japan (280 ps <ps is about 1 hp> each supposidly). Who knows yet, maybe the GTR will just get an N/A 3.5. Either that or they are gonna do some serious underestimation of power, or they'll just break the self-imposed manufacturing hp limit.
