*When low on fuel*
Basically, when i start the car the light is on and the gas gauge is very low, than after driving a little it will go up to 1/4 of a tank, and today it hit 1/2 a tank. I know i dont have that much gas in there, but what could be the problem?

I recently had a problem with my gas gauge, it would read 1/4 remaining with about 352 miles and then all of a sudden it dropped and buzzed telling me i was empty, and then it would still be full when i have 150 miles used on the tank. I took the car in last friday and get GM to look at it, they said the fuel sensor or something like that was bad so they replaced it and now it's runny great.

The part you need is $40 with shipping through GMPartsDirect.com... the correct part number is 22709333 (that's the number shown on the latest version of the TSB for the issue, released 4/3/2003).
