180 degree T-stat

I was just wondering if I'd notice any difference in the way my engine performs with this...the PFYC summary says it will keep your engine cooler, and improve power because of the coolness...is it really worth getting? Thanks.

Do you have any other mods done to your car? I had one with a CAI and I could notice a difference. Your engine will run cooler and therefore reduce the chance of detonation. A 180 T-stat alone won't give you a huge increase in horsepower, maybe 1hp. If you want your car to perform at it's best, I'd say to put one in.

You won't notice a major change with it, it does help keep the engine cooler tho. My car stays at about the 200 mark or just below it use to sit like 240-250.

I would get the 180 t-stat, and the Caspers Cooling Fan Harness together. They really do go hand and hand.

Thanks guys..I was thinking about a CAI, but haven't been sure yet...I take it it is worth it, huh? I have a regular Ractive heatshield cone intake right now...so should I just go ahead and get the CAI..what brands seem to be the most popular or perform well?

The CAI is a very good mod, everyone loves it. APOC and Dr. Speed both sell the same one, APOC's doesn't hit the battery, but it has a 6 month wait on it as of right now.

There is a few out there. one from APOC, one from Doctorspeed and one FDP Performance. I have the doctorspeed CAI stage 3 tho.

i got the one from www.geocities.com/nbodyintakes/ its practically the same as APOCs, but a bit easier on your wallet!

I believe the one from APOC is FDP/APOC (same one)... correct me if I'm wrong..

Yes pretty much the same intake except one company is in canada (i believe ) and get the piping from somewhere different then APOC. I pretty sure. sorry if im not correct.
