alarm system

i bought a grand am se2000 i wanted to ask if any one can help me the question is when i press the door lock twice and lock the doors the horn and light come on like if there is and alarm on it ive look in the hood cant find one can any one give me suggestions

Is it a factory keyless remote? If so I think what you are talking about is just something they do as a reminder to tell you that the doors are already locked. I think the only security the new cars have is the passlock system where it needs to read a resistance off the key before it will start. I could be wrong but thats what it sounds like to me. Lee

oohh okay im going a good alarm on it any way also i bought some green hid headlight will they affect my day time running lights

I dought it. I beleive its a circuit and not dependent on the acual lights. Lee
