I know of a local machine shop that I plan on proposing the production of some clear or blue hvac knobs. Obviously there will be substantial startup costs etc.
Before I spend my time looking into this, I was wondering what interest there would be in new knobs and how much everyone would be willing to spend for a set of 3 knobs in blue or clear?
I know this topic has been touched upon several times but I don't feal much was resolved. Feedback please :)

Well factory knobs are $4.26 after tax a piece... If you could do 3 clear ones for $20-$25 I would be down

Considering replacement knobs were just slightly under 10 bucks Canadian for all three, I wouldn't pay more than 25 bucks Canadian for aftermarket ones.

By clear, they still glow red, right? n r these gonna look just like stock? So we'd basically be paying u to clear them for us? I'd be interested depending on price, n I wouldn't pay more than $25 including shipping.

I'd be interested in the BLUE......wouldn't want to pay more then $30 or so....but that would depend on how they come out. If it's anything like the rest of your products.....I'm down for a set

Based on the costs of this project I feel that it won't even be feasible to propose to the company. If the knobs are made clear you would get the stock backlight shining though (yellowish color) unless you put blue leds in behind it.

id get blue ones if they glowed blue (gel inserts *hint hint* )
i'de get the blue, maybe even offer more colors. i'de be interested in silver as well. tell the company to offer more colors and more people would buy. we could basically paint them ourselves that's why we don't want to pay too much BUT if they can find a way to make these glow in different colors then they will have a huge market i think. b/c that's the number one problem for us and trying to change the color and to change the glow of it, just my 2 cents
