I finaly installed my sender and hooked everything up. I hooked the 12v to a 15amp(wiper fuse). Note: i have my gauge in the A/C vent. Anyway i start the car and it moves just a little, i drove for about a half an hour and my gauge needle went past all the numbers to prob like 260 degrees. this can not be right. what could be wrong?

I have mine hooked up to the 10amp fuse for the radio acc. I also had that problem but i think it was because my wiring came disconnected from my ground wire to the gauge.

It really sounds like something is either grounding out, or a wire is crossed or something. I would say check all the connections and re-check the length of wire coursing through the fire wall - make sure the insulation hasn't stripped off...

Your tranny temp will take a while to get up to a normal range, even with it grounded right...I drove for about half an hour before I was around 160-170 degrees once.
