Hey guys,

Well my 3100 SFI in my Monte ate the big one and I've decided to upgrade to the 3400 SFI to drop in.

I found a 3400 from a 1999 GA with a mere 22k miles on it (a heck of a lot better than my 100k mile engine).

I've already done quite a bit of research on this swap and am aware of the issues with the EGR, Timing chain cover and fuel injector harness.

I want to change all the gaskets while the engine is out of the car and would like to know which kit I need.

I went over to http://www.pickproparts.com and they have 2 kits available.

One is listed for the 99-00 engine and the other is for the 00-present engine but both are listed as vin E.

Im a little confused as to which one is correct (even though this engine came out of a 99 Im not one to trust a parts supplier listing) as the listing for the 99-00 kit does not have a picture but they have a pic of the 00-present.

Which one is correct and what are the major differences gasket and seal wise on between the 2 (if any at all)?

Would the 00-present kit work on a 99?

Are there any things I should look out for as I do these gakets that is paticular to this engine?

Finally any boosted 3400s out there I am thinking of putting my turbo on the new engine after I have had a chance to break it in some more and annel the block. I would love to talk to some turboed 3400s for hints and tips.

Thanks for the help.
