I know K&N is a very big name and big name isnt always better like in the computer world for instance Intel is not always better then AMD. Infact AMD is better for most things. And nVidia graphics seem to be trailing ATI.. So big brother isnt always the more mature in the family.

Anyway I see Accel Kool Blue Air Filters claiming that they outperform all competition and I gotta wonder if Accel has a product that is really better then K&N filters. Any input guys?
I'd like to put in my order by monday but confused as to what is actually better. Sure K&N got a big name but dont make me repeat the story which is why I am trying to find out how these 2 compare.

In general, a filter is a filter. I've heard great things about the Accels....but I've gone through a few K&N's and they've been good. Either way, you're not going to get huge gains from one "high flow" fliter to another, go with whatever you feel is best.

K u probably right.. just thought there might be some technical advantages like trapping more or lasting longer. Just put my order in for the K&N's so shall wait for them along with everything else ordered to get here.

Better flowing doesn't mean better filtering. IIRC they're both cotton gauze, so they'd be comperable. Holley makes the Power Shot that a lot of 4th gen F-body guys are going to. They're all basically the same.
