Newspaper Article about a Test Drive @ Road America for the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V (http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1064527811251&call_pageid=968867497088&col=969048871196)

I like the sound of what they are saying about this CTS-V

Damn, now only if I won the Super-7 lottery last night; oh well, there is always next Friday night.

yea it seems like a hell of a car. but the price is really high to only go 14.0 in the 1/4 mile

Saw one that was a manufacturers vehicle on the road a little while back, all I can saw is that sucker was loud. Especially for a cadillac.

Good to see things are getting back to normal at GM.

 Where were any 1/4 mile figures stated? This should be capable of low 13s.

The drivers must have been drunk.

From my experience, car mag times mean a little but not much, they mean the car is cappable of within + or - .8 seconds of what they ran it. 0-60 means virtually nothing at all as time to distance is what determines what car will be ahead of another (ex 1/8 mile and 1/4 times), time to speed doesn't mean much.

neither was your grand am or my alero. Like we did with the Grand Ams and Aleros, modified them to be drag cars.

That must be 14.0 while sipping a latte
and/or extending a nice gesture to the
M5 that you are passing by...

Uh MotorTrend never listed a 1/4 time on their review. Check the article yourself on MotorTrend online, in fact they never even got to do a full blown test on it, more of a first look and drive around.

That and if you read Car and Driver October 2003 issue that has the "CTS-V" they state it IS capable of low 13's. If you read the spec's at the end they list the 1/4 at 13.1@109mph due to manufact. stats because they haven't fully tested one.

I'm not trying to be mean here, just trying to be right.

*************Car and Driver***************************
"This chassis competence is critical because the CTS-V gains speed ferociously. Cadillac suggests a 0-to-60 time of 4.7 seconds, and the car felt entirely capable of that. When we test one, we expect a quarter-mile in the low 13s at close to 110 mph and a top speed in the low 160s, unless tire durability demands a governor in the 155-mph area."

That's what i was thinking. I always knew they stated the 0-60 at 4.7 sec., and that would equate to low 13s cuz that's like between the Corvette 0-60 and the late model Z28 0-60, both which run in that area.
