B&M Installed

I got my B&M Short Throw shifter installed today. Awesome shifter. If anyone wants a better shifter I'd recommend it. It's better than stock in my opinion. I took pics of it with my phone, but its being dumb and won't send the pictures. I'll have to post them later. Does anyone know wha the thing is that stick up under the boot(leather part around the sifter)?? It sticks up the same height almost as my shifter and is VERY VERY ANNOYING. I always hit it when I shift into 5th since my shifter it short.

Most aftermarket shifter are better than stock... I was considering B&M but went with DC Sports...

That's good to hear. I've been thinking about getting this for a while now, but have been waiting for someone to try it out and review it first. And given that there really aren't many of us 5-speed GA's here i've been waiting a while.

It was a easy install the guy said. It cost me 40 bucks to have it installed, which doesn't seem too bad.

Am I the first 5spd GA to get the B&M? I think I might get a new/diff. knob for it.

Not the first.. but the first on this board. Looks pretty clean. I heard you can even get rid of the reverse lockout thing if you so chose to do so. I'm still debating on getting the B&M or getting Mantaparts whole freakin assembly for $390

I don't have to have it in reverse to take the key out like I did before.

02Eco from this board has had one since spring

it's only available to those 2.4's equipped w/ the getrag tranny
so only 99+ model years.
