I am going to be recieving my new head unit tommorow, and im going to remove my stock tape player, which is going to leave a hole in my center console. One idea i have is to cover it with a piece of plexiglass, and paint it to match my interior, except leaving the letters SE clear in the middle and putting 2 leds behind it to light it up at night. Or, leave the whole thing clear and put a SE decal on it and light it up, like SwtGrndAmGT01 did with his headrest, heres a pic.

If you guys have any other ideas for this space let me know, thanks.

I'd go w/ the painted. But then again,.. it's make a sweet place for auxillary switches. I made a custom bezel (double din w/ the cassette pocket) to house my Neo Jukebox mp3 player. That pocket area is handy for all sorts of things.

exactly, what the fun in buying a new one lol. So u think the clear or the painted with the SE in the middle. I think the painted cause it would just glow se at night.

Only one switch is hooked up right now and I haven't got around to putting together the backlighting but it looks pretty cool I think.

Here's mine w/ the neo jukebox in the bezel I made:)
Been meaning to ask someone, I did a search & didn't find anything on the subject... how do you post a pic so it'll show the actual picture instead of a link?

I use the space for my CD changer display. Looks cool but I don't use the FM modulator anymore. Sounded ok with the stock deck and even worse with my Pioneer. It's a 6 disc changer gone to waste.
Here's a pic......

hey just curious, since u at one time apparently had both of these faces, does the 2 din face fit into a 1.5 din dash? like are they interchangable?

I took a din &1/2 & cut the lower portion off & molded it onto my double din bezel. I never had the din & 1/2 in my dash so I'm not totally sure. I assme there would be issues lining up the stereo & hvac controls? I Might be wrong, it's just an assumption. My best advice is to get in a ga w/ the oposite of what you have & do some measuring to see. I'm almost totally positive it'd be a direct fit to the dash but am skeptical of whether or not it'd hatch up to the stero & h vac openings.

I'm going to use that space to mount my HKS super-AFR. It's almost a perfect fit. :) Gauges would look cool there too. It's always useful as a place to mount a switch panel. Just do something besides just putting a light in there. It's much too perfect and convenient a spot to mount something more creative.
