You might have a bad gauge.

there was no ses light , but another thing was it came with wires for inverters; a ground and a battery wire, so i just soldered them to my other ground and battery wires

Remove the gauge completely and see if the car runs fine. If it does....either you have a bad gauge or it's hooked up wrong. I've heard of a few cases where people have gotten a bad A/F gauge and it made their car run like crap. What kind of gauge is it? if it's an autometer....they'll probable be able to check the gauge to see if it's bad....and if it is they'll send you a new one.

sounds like the O2 harness is disconected in some way, being that the "default mode" for the O2 sensor is to run rich when the harness itself is dissconected, yet there should be a SES light.

1) maybe a bad A/F meter
2) if you tapped in, you might have hit the wrong wire
3) if you bought the pigtail harness, that might be defective also

yes i have a pigtail ,the guage is an AC, i bought it off e-bay(new), so i wrote the guy and asked if he knew what was up. The guage does work but my car is running a little ruff. Could it be the 02 sensor maybe?

disconect the pigtail, put it back to stock for a while, and clear the PCM, if you get no problems, then you know it was either the guage or the pigtail

okay it's my guage but i dont know if it's hooked up wrong or if the guage is broke. I did notice on the back of it there is an open space were it loked like a switch should have been. Above it said
(4 6 8), think maybe that was a switch for cylinders or would it not make a difference?

Get an Autometer!

I hate to say it but......sound like maybe you've been jacked by e-bay.

I'll save you the time....A/F gauges are worthless.

but they look so god damn cool fluxuating all insane...

i like my nordskog digital one, its easy to read... at normal driving if its lean/rich its a tell-tale thing, but other then that, pretty(useless)

*iagree*

I have one, and I knew before I bought it they were not precise enough to do anything with, but they are neat looking.

edit: also the harness back there is really short, I advise getting the pigtail from pfyc.com its helps a lot!

yeah you'd be better off with an egt guage

EGT would only help tune/troubleshot a turbocharged motor.
