Okay, today I installed my 180 degree T-stat...no problem..hooked everything back up...well, it's daytime, I start my car..and my DRL doesn't work...So I put the car in reverse, my headlamps flicker, and go out and the SVS light comes on...any possibilities why this can be happening? Autozone found no codes, and I will take it to work and have them scan it, but are there any reasons changing a thermostat would cause these to stop working?

Autozone won't be able to read BCM codes.

Without seeing what code set the SVS, try low beams, and high beams... I'd guess that you have a bad filament

Mine is doing the SAME exact thing right now, I just put Xenon bulbs in Thursday nite, friday during the day it came on and my dad said they were also flickering then shut right off and the SVS light came on, I'm gonna switch bulbs tomarrow see if it helps.

I took it to work, had it tested with a Tech 2, and it's been pinpointed my DRL. So I put the stockers back in, and now my DRLs work, and my lights do to...but only on high beam. I have no low beam. I do have blackouts, so it won't be a prob driving at night really, but does anyone know what could have caused this and why it might be happening? Thanks for any replies.

Stock T-stat or bulbs? If it's the bulbs I would look for a fried wiring harness, especially if your bulbs were higher wattage than normal.

I had the Xenon white from eurodesigns, I put my Silverstars back in and mine are fine now and the light is off again.

I had the eurodesignz as well and they did the same thing. I got one that had a bad filament, so I replaced them with some Hiper lights and they are fine now. This turned my SVS light on as well and no one could find the code in there.

I forgot I even had this thread...LOL. Anyways, I replaced my APC bulbs with Sylvania 9004's and they work fine now..weird, but I'm, okay with it. Thanks everyone.

I have the same bulbs too. I had one bulb replaced by eurodezigns . That was the first time ever my SVS came on due to a faulty bulb. I still have these bulbs because there great and cheap enough to replace.
