Factory Stereo Display Flickers

Any word on a fix for when the display on the radio starts flickering and becomes unreadable? Second time ive had to swap decks. Does anyone know if just the display can be replaced without having to replace the whole unit?

mine displays weird symbols from time to time, and cant read the time its funny...

you have to replace the whole unit? Is your car under warranty? if not I think its time for an Aftermarket Radio, you will be much more happier.

haha dude yeah now i dont feel so bad that it's not just me. my freakin head unit tweeks to beat hell when it's cold outside. usually it's pretty mild during warmer weather, but when it gets chilly, oh that baby can jump around. dont ask me why, half the time i cant read the damn time either. if someone knows a fix, let us know.

btw, my car has 110k miles on it, there's no hope for warranty.

I have the same problem with my '00 GT. It gets annoying, but at least I remembered where all my prestes are. I usually turn on the unit a few times and it seems to help...but now always!
