I am going to be getting in touch with JR Granatelli to see what we can do for the SC cars. I put his MAF back in with the NA tune on it, and the car idles horribly with it. It will not even turnover unless you rev it after ignition to 1-2k RPM. This must be done for a few seconds and then the car/PCM will let you shift to D without a stall.

When I did get her running with GMS, the car was a LOT more powerful mid and high, even low the car picked up a substantial amount of power. You can hear the car vacumning the air with the GMS installed, it really gulps!!!!:D

->KmanGT1 you had the stalling, did you ever rev it at start up to manage to get the car running with the GMS?

JOUT Yes, revving it was the only way to get the car running. It really ran horribly with the GMS MAF.

Bad news. Apparently the only Pontiac MAF sensor that they hold programming for is the Trans Am. So we are SOL on this pursuit.
When I called them they got me all excited saying that it shouldn't be a problem to get done!

But when I spoke with Rene Gonzalez (tech guy) he mentioned that they no longer have the specs on the car to get this done. They can't reprogram it because they do not even know the stock calibration anymore.:(

They can do a recal for Ford MAFs, it seems that they have the software in house for them. But the complexities of GM's equipement makes the recal very difficult and it would cost a lot more money to do, and basically, they will not do a one shot sale.

BTW - The price was to be $125 plus s+h for the recal.

Damnit!
