Well, went to the track tonight. It was like 30 degrees F out.......so I had no traction whatsoever. I'd catch, and spin at around 30mph. Oh well, still ran fairly decent. Here's the slip.....http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=249104
And I just looked on the Nitrous E/T times.....I'm the 4th fastest on the list:D

Anyways......everyone was running really ****ty. I held even with a z28, as well as a modded gtp....so I don't think it was a good night for anyone. Traction was a biotch....
BTW: That was my first run of the night, the rest were 14.6's.

I was like holy$hit because i thought you were NA...then remembered that you just got juice. Nice times still. Although traction was an issue your 60s aren't bad...2.1 2.2 are pretty decent for these cars

I actually got a decent launch, then spun when I turned on the juice.
That, plus my bottle heater hasn't been installed yet....and the bottle was way empty. My psi was at like 500 all night:huh:

Your 60 was .1 Seconds better than mine! No Complaining :rage: :thumbs: If I could have hooked up I could probably hit a 14.8 but I am happy with my run with that 60 Foot.

good slip dude....You can always crank the line pressure up on your tranny and get some drag radials ! Might as well bump the spray up to about 100 too :) What are you spraying right now? 50? 75?

but "all engine"?? no matter what you put into it, your engine is still the only thing that is propelling you down the track......... so we are all "all motor"
(unless some people have a hole cut in their floor so that they can "Fred Flintstone" it as well !!! :)

You just have to make sure the bottle stays full and you are good!!!!.....Just be sure to close off the tank when its bed-time b/c I lost a whole bottle like that once....DOH!

Very nice run there. Are you commin up to MGM 4 on the 18th of October. Gonna be cooler yet and its Stanton awesome track.

I guess But i would want to see what i ran N/A To to see what the Bottle Actualy does. I perssonaly fell better about my 14.9 run NA Than I would running a 14.9 on the bottle, but thats just me to each to there own.:)
with your 14.9 imagine what you can do with a good set of drag radials and a bottle!

Yeah Probably, I'll be getting some Good tires for next year but I'll Never Hook up a bottle :) this winter is paying of Debt next spring is Cam TB and a Computer.

I ran a 15.0 without n2o.
When I ran the 14.5, I had 500psi, and like no nitrous left....
The only reason my 60' time was so good was because I actually launched very well, just when I flipped the n2o on at like 30mph, the tires just spun like a muv.....
My ATI was turned up to about 50%, and I chirped into second.
I'm figuring with non-bald tires that are actually made for the track (mine are bald winter tires, really hard compount rubber), a full tank running at 1400psi, and my MAFT tuning....I'll be low 14's no problem.

im thinking 13s, 500 psi in the bottle is like nothing at all, im surprised you even felt anything.

nice run btw. I lined up against a GTP with lots done, and nitrous. He had a smaller pully, new nose drive, intake, headers, exhaust, msd, plugs, wires, and a Nitrous Oxide Systems (N.O.S.) kit. (sorry, i hate it when people write "naws" so I make sure I specify). He said he was suprised I held on him with traction conditions the way they were. Great Lakes Dragway is the worst.....

15 Flat Is Really Good man, That makes me Wonder what I would run if i smothed out some of my cars Rough Edges, I mean starting with the Exhaust I have the headers with the stock down pipe a high flow cat And Stock Catback piping with a crappy flowmaster, I think with some 2.5 inch pipping a Propr muffler, A MAF and A computer, I could probably hit a 14.5. :)

13.9? Hm.....unless you're planning on running high compression pistons, that's gonna be pretty hard..... a cam, valve train, and proper tuning alone might not even get you there. Good luck though!
Damn!! I wish I would have gone to GLD last night!!! I guess the track was in great shape...well....better than normal (from what they say over at brewcitymuscle.com). Lots of new personal bests were ran. Did you see my friend in the Blue GTP?? He was running a 13.9 before last night but hit 13.4 last night. If I would have had my cams in I would have gone....probably would have pulled a high 14. Oh well...there always next week!!

The Stock valves are fine for now i mean they are bigenough as is, The Springs and Retianers are going to be replaced by LS 1 Components. High Compression Pistons will not be needed the stock pistions will be fine, As People have proven before, The bottom end of the 3400 Is Farly Strong so if i blow it I blow it I'll just have to replaced it :) I mean For Next year I will have The Cam, Computer, APFR, Injectors, TB. And Something Elce I will Not Discolse untill I find out if I can Do it.:)

It's a blue GTP daytona edition with all the badges removed. Hes got headers,no cats (2.5" piping to stock Y pipe from headers)3.25" pulley & 3.0" pulley (ran 13.4's with both), DHP computer,Fenderwell intake, STOCK RSA"S, tranny coller, 160* T-Stat, and some other small odds and ends things.
He was getting 4* of knock retard when he ran the 13.4's...so better times are soon.

Yeah I ran him in one of my other slips.....he ran a 13.5 against me the other run.
I don't think it was him......his times ranged from 13.4-13.7 the whole night.
Ah well......thats not the point of this post anyway's :D

Yup...hes on BCM....I am too sometimes. I feel REALLY slow with all the FAST V-8's on that site so i dont post much :) just read. I love his car!!!
